Meaning of white roses

White color is known to show nothing or absence of any color. This relates to white roses as something representing pure, innocent and clean. There are many myths suggesting the first rose on the earth being white in color which later was transformed to other color ones.

White roses are traditionally used on marriage ceremonies. Bouquets mostly consisting white roses are given on weddings. In this sense they symbolize the beginning of a new bond that is pure and untainted and so will last forever. This might be the reason that white roses are also called Bridal roses.

Giving white roses we want to say that we are grateful to the receiver and the intention is absolutely good and there is no need to think the other way!

While white roses are used as a symbol of unity and bonding, these roses are also used to show our remembrance and respect for someone no longer with us. In ceremonies such as funeral and farewell, we use white roses to convey our message to the departed soul and leaving person that they are important for us and have great value in our life saying we miss and respect them forever.

The opposing nature in use of white roses symbolize something that is in between two extremes. So, white roses are also used to show innocence and silence.
