White color is known to show nothing or absence of any color. This relates to white roses as something representing pure, innocent and clean. There are many myths suggesting the first rose on the earth being white in color which later was transformed to other color ones.
White roses are traditionally used on marriage ceremonies. Bouquets mostly consisting white roses are given on weddings. In this sense they symbolize the beginning of a new bond that is pure and untainted and so will last forever. This might be the reason that white roses are also called Bridal roses.
