Meaning of different rose colors

There are many types of flowers in the world. Some of them are special to certain locality and used in that region only. In case of roses, although their availability may differ from place to place, the message they convey are highly significant according to their color, number etc. They are used all over the world. So, roses are also called Queen of flowers.

We use roses on different occasions but since there are roses of different colors such that each of these has its own meaning. Thus it may be better to know their meaning.

Mysterious black roses signify death and end. Due to their easier availability, white roses are mostly used on funeral and farewell ceremonies but black roses are better choice for these functions. Sending a black roses to somebody means end of the relationship with that person. This will sure bring a sense of unhappiness and sadness. Black roses are thus also symbol of loss and tragedy.

Though some florists have applied various artificial methods to produce blue roses, the prefect and naturally grown blue roses are believed not to exist. The one that are available are either blue looking shades of other roses like Lavender or as mentioned earlier produced artificially.

It is not clear if the perfect blue roses of our dream become reality one day or not but the pursuit continuous. Many people specially florists believe that their constant search and enthusiasm will lead them to either the discovery of perfect blue rose or they will be able to produce a rose that is perfectly blue. Meaning of white roses

White color is known to show nothing or absence of any color. This relates to white roses as something representing pure, innocent and clean. There are many myths suggesting the first rose on the earth being white in color which later was transformed to other color ones.

White roses are traditionally used on marriage ceremonies. Bouquets mostly consisting white roses are given on weddings. In this sense they symbolize the beginning of a new bond that is pure and untainted and so will last forever. This might be the reason that white roses are also called Bridal roses.

Giving white roses we want to say that we are grateful to the receiver and the intention is absolutely good and there is no need to think the other way!

While white roses are used as a symbol of unity and bonding, these roses are also used to show our remembrance and respect for someone no longer with us. In ceremonies such as funeral and farewell, we use white roses to convey our message to the departed soul and leaving person that they are important for us and have great value in our life saying we miss and respect them forever.

So, sending/giving red roses is the perfect and the most trusted way to say "I Love you."

In comparison to other color roses, as written before, red roses are used most widely and so are regarded as Queen of roses.

There are many myths and legends relating red roses with love and romance during ancient time as well. According to Greek and Roman mythology, Aphrodite, goddess of love and  romance also called Venus by Romans, were associated with red roses.
